Ever wondered how your Sydney Morning Herald is printed? If you haven’t yet managed to squeeze into one of our subscriber tours of Fairfax’s printing works in Chullora, here’s your chance.
Another behind-the-scenes tour of Fairfax Printers has been organised exclusively for Herald subscribers on August 26. On past performance these fill up fast, so book early!
A modern newspaper printery is a vast plant where computer technology controls huge machines with pinpoint precision to ensure the presses keep churning out thousands of papers a minute. Expert guides will lead you through the printery and explain the processes as the presses are primed to roll for the night’s Sydney Morning Herald production run. This exclusive opportunity to see one of the world’s most advanced and complex printing plants in action costs just $20 a head. Only 30 people can be accommodated and there’s a strict limit of four tickets per subscriber, so organise your party now and book!
