Australia gets a rare chance to enjoy some of the world's most loved works of art at home when the National Gallery of Australia presents Masterpieces from Paris: Van Gogh, Gaugin, Cézanne & beyond in Canberra on December 4.
Among the 112 works on loan from Paris’s renowned Musée d’Orsay are legendary canvases by van Gogh, Gauguin, Cézanne, Seurat, Monet and many more, charting the explosive arrival of modern art in Europe. Never have so many great artworks been brought together in one exhibition in Australia. The seven van Goghs include Starry Night over the Rhone and Bedroom at Arles. There are nine Gauguins including Tahitian Women (on the Beach). This is simply a must-see exhibition.
