Painting The Rocks SOLD OUT! |

There’s nothing new about architectural vandalism: countless colonial buildings reflecting Sydney’s convict and settler heritage were demolished in The Rocks in the early 1900s. It was our city’s good fortune that a farsighted group of artists set out to capture the old city in the Rocks before it was swept away by developers.
Now the Museum of Sydney has mounted an exhibition of their work, Painting The Rocks: the loss of Old Sydney.
Herald Benefits, with the Historic Houses Trust and the Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority, is delighted to offer subscribers the opportunity to retrace Sydney’s lost streets at an exclusive curator-led tour of the exhibition at 2pm on Saturday, September 25, followed by a guided tour of The Rocks Discovery Museum and iconic Rocks landmarks.
Tickets cost just $11, with all proceeds donated to the Foundation for the Historic Houses Trust. There are just 20 places available, so this offer will sell out fast. Act now! Proceeds will go to the Foundation for the Historic Houses Trust.
