Celebrate the March 4 DVD and Blu-ray release of the brilliant film Mao's Last Dancer, directed by Bruce Beresford, with a fantastic night at The Australian Ballet’s The Silver Rose.
One lucky subscriber will win two nights’ five-star accommodation in Sydney, dinner for two at Guillaume at Bennelong, A-reserve tickets to the ballet for the winner and a partner at 7.30pm on April 24th, and limo transfers. Plus, on top of this $1500 package, there’s a chance to meet the artistic director of The Australian Ballet, David McAllister, backstage after the performance.
The Silver Rose, based on Richard Strauss’s comic opera Der Rosenkavalier, was devised and choreographed by Australian dance legend Graeme Murphy as a tale of romantic intrigue and love gone wrong. Murphy also choreographed the dance sequences for Mao’s Last Dancer, the story of dancer Li Cunxin’s journey to international stardom as one of the world's great ballet dancers. The main prize winner, and 20 runners-up, will also receive a DVD of Mao’s Last Dancer, valued at $39.95.
